Well it has been QUITE some time since my last post. Not too much news, just busy with work and running my part time Accounting/Bookkeeping business. Thats right I said business :-)

The big news is that I am now a recognized, registered Business :-)

This is pretty exciting news for me, and basically I have just done it for tax purposes only. Their are alot of benefits to registering as a business IF you are comfortable with putting the work in to track all your expenses and do everything PROPERLY and ACCURATELY and keep all your records/logs. Since I am very detail oriented and love numbers, that is actually FUN for me, believe it or not.

Anyway that is my big news.

IPhone on Pay As You Go!!!

Well, let me start by saying, in my opinion, the IPhone is the most impressive piece of technology that has ever been made. It is simply that great.

I have my email synced, my calendar synced, I have a crap load of free games on it, I have a bunch of utilities on it, oh and by the way, it is a phone.

I will talk about how great the IPhone is later (and trust me, it is GREAT)....but I wanted to tell my story of buying the IPhone and putting it on Pay As You Go and the features that you get and dont get.....

Step 1 -I bought my IPhone from a dude off of Kijiji. He had paid $699 6 months ago and bought the phone outright so he had no contract. He switched to a BlackBerry Storm. I paid $260 for the Iphone itself (came with charger, all manuals, original box, screen protector, and not a scratch on it....it was in MINT shape)

Step 2 - Went to Futureshop and bought a Rogers Sim card....It was $40 which felt like a ripoff but not much I could do. (I hear you can buy a brand new Rogers Sim card on ebay for about $15 but I couldnt wait to start using my IPhone....therefore I paid the $40 to Futureshop to get the SIM in my hands right then!)

Step 3 - Went online to Rogers Wireless and activated my SIM card on Rogers Pay As You Go. I choose the $20 a month option which gets you a 31 cent a minute rate (I think) and text messages are 15 cents a text message. Your unused minutes (or $ depending how you look at it) rolls over to the NEXT month.
HERES A GOOD THING TO KNOW - If you ever want to switch to a NON Pay As You Go plan, your PAYG Balance will be a CREDIT on your monthly bill. You can switch between a PAYG and a monthly plan at any time and you can switch back and forth as much as you want or need to.

OK so now I have a WORKING IPhone for $300 total and I am NOT locked to any Rogers Plan for ANY length of time. This is freekin sweet and exactly what I wanted.

I honestly do NOT see any reason why I (the key word here is I, meaning ME) am going to need a data plan, and I see NO reason for myself to switch from Pay As You Go. I basically have FREE WIRELESS everywhere (home, work, etc) therefore I can download apps, browse the internet, get sports scores, use google maps and the GPS, etc etc where ever I am by "piggybacking" on those FREE WIFI spots. It works SUPER!!!!

The drawback of Pay As You Go is that:
1) IPhone GPS will NOT work unless you are on a WIFI network (because you have no dataplan). Technically you can have the MAP loaded to where you are going from and to and that works great. But your GPS will not show you EXACTLY where you are. For me that is fine.....If I really need a GPS I will buy a Tom Tom for $150 instead of adding $25 to my cell bill month after month. Or, alternatively, if I know I am going to Vegas in a few months I could change my cell plan and put the data option for my plan for that month, then change back to Pay As You Go.

2) Visual Voicemail does NOT work on Pay As You Go....honestly I dont know what Visual Voicemail is, so I am not heartbroken that I dont get it.

3) No Data Plan means NO Internet unless connected to WIFI - this could be a killer for some people....I myself never used to use the browser on my phone, therefore again, this is no big deal to me.

Please keep in mind I am NOT at all a Hardcore phone user.....That is why Pay As You Go works just freekin sweet for me. Many people already think I am retarded for doing this, but honestly it works for me and that is all that matters.

Couple of things I should mention with Pay As You Go
-your unused minutes ($) gets rolled over to the next month
-you get free number display (and if that person is in your contacts it will bring up their name obiously that is the Phone doing that part)
-you have the option of putting voicemail on your line (for free)
-they do have a variety of Pay As You Go plans that you should check out if you are interested in doing this

Anyway that is my story of the IPhone on Pay As You Go....It works for me....and I am in LOVE with my IPhone.....Theres probably an app for that :-)

Buying an Iphone on your own terms.....Its NOT EASY!!!

So yesterday on my lunch hour I decided I would test my options of purchasing a NEW Iphone direct from Rogers....In a nutshell I wasted my 30 min lunch (not like I eat anything anyway) and it was a very frustrating 30 minutes.

I knew Rogers Wireless Customer Service was "not good", but let me tell you...it is HORRIBLE.

I phoned the Wireless Inquiries phone # and let them know that I am looking to buy an Iphone 3G or 3GS OUTRIGHT and I wanted to get pricing from them....They told me I had the wrong department but they would transfer me...ok great. They transferred me to some dude, again I explained my question, he told me "Sorry Sir, I cant help you, I work for Rogers Cable (aka TV)"...Interesting....Can you transfer me to the RIGHT person...He says sure, but before he let me go he had to ask me if I am happy with my current cable company....Uh ya....It is just fuc%en great, that is not what I am phoning about (of course I didnt SAY thought....But let me tell ya I thought it!!!)....So I get transferred again....Now I end up with someone wanting to Top Up my bloody minutes....I nicely and sternly told them can you PLEASE PLEASE get this straight...Here is my question.....Now transfer me to the RIGHT FREEKIN PERSON....About 10 minutes later I am talking to the RIGHT PERSON.....YIPPPEEEE

So here we go again, I am looking to buy an Iphone 3G or 3GS OUTRIGHT, could you please give me the costs. "Oh well sir I am not sure if we sell them without a contract", I say "um yip I am pretty sure you do, and I kinda thought you would know that since you work there".....She says she is going to check for me....Oh hold....holding.....She comes back on the line...Oh yes sir you are correct we do.....BUT....before I give you that information here are the zillion reasons why you should not do that "insert lame ass reasons here".........and now let me tell you about our great Voice and Data Plans........."insert a bunch of $hit here"...........Ok now I am seriously starting to get frustrated (and that kinda takes alot....but this has been an f'in lot!!!).........So............

I finally cut her off and said, look I have no interest in your plans and I have no interest in why you think I should NOT do this....I know what I want to do can you just please give me the prices...ok sure.....

I have the prices written down, but I think they were something like
Iphone 3G 8 GB - $599
Iphone 3G 16 GB - $699
Iphone 3GS 16 GB - $799
Iphone 3GS 32 GB - $899

Ok that is what I wanted....Then she gave me an interesting tip....You can get a "almost new" Iphone 3G 16GB for (i think) $499. It was used guaranteed less then 30 days and is now a refurb but it would save you a couple hundred dollars.....hmmm ok...good tip. She told me I would have to phone my local Rogers dealer (aka Airsource) to buy one of these....ok I will do that....

So I phone 4 Airsource locations in Saskatoon....They tell me they dont know what Rogers is talking about...They do NOT sell refurbed Iphones....Yip thats fuc%in splendid!!!!!

SALES QUESTION - I dont understand Rogers thinking....They will seemingly do anything and everything they can to NOT sell me an Iphone that I wont commit to a 3 year contract on. BUT - If I were to buy say a 3GS 16GB I will be giving Rogers $799.....and not only that....this phone is LOCKED TO ROGERS....So obiously they are going to be getting SOME money monthly out of me??? WTF??? They are basically forcing me into looking on Ebay for an unlocked phone and then talk to them after about my monthly plan......So didnt you (Rogers) just screw yourself out of $799???? What the hell am I missing here? I dont get their whole hesitation from just letting me buy a dam Iphone?????

On a positive note....Our doggie got a Patriots jersey (see pic below)....Such a smart dog cheering for Randy Moss and the best team ever :-) (ps - Giants suck)

Crazy, Brilliant (I think?) Iphone Idea!!!!

Ok, so I am fully aware that I am going to made fun of and called probably either dumb, or more likely CHEAP......well you got one thing right, I am CHEAP :-) LOL

Anyway I have been toying with the idea of getting an Iphone. They are absolutely the coolest mobile device that you can get!!! (cell phone, gps, camera, millions of add on apps, etc etc etc)

My problem is that in Canada if I were to buy an Iphone it is going to cost me $100 (for the Iphone 3G 8GB) or $199 (Iphone 3GS)....that I can live with. The part that I cant choke down is that Rogers locks you in to a 3 YEAR contract which is about $60 a month after taxes. Ok so that means my Iphone would cost me $100 + ($60 x 36 months) = $2260. Ya, I am WAY too cheap for that!!!

So what are my options you ask? I want an Iphone but I am too cheap to buy one.....What am I going to do? Well I did a bunch of research and reading the other night and here is the plan....

I can get an unlocked Iphone 3G on Ebay for approx $400. Now that it is unlocked I can just slap in a Rogers Sim and activate it. Since I purchased an UNLOCKED phone I do NOT have to sign any 3 year contracts with Rogers and I most definitely do NOT need the $60 a month plan!!!

Now before I hit you with the crazy brilliant part of the plan, you must know something about me. I do NOT talk on my cell phone. I use it for about 30 min a month on a crazy chatty month. I send about 20 text messages a month. That is about all.

Crazy Brilliant Part
I plan on activating my new UNLOCKED Iphone on Rogers Pay As You Go. (ya thats right, you read that right).
If you "Top Up" with $20 per month that will go into your "Pay As You Go" balance
Calls on the Iphone will cost $0.31 per minute on Weekdays UP TO 6pm
Calls on the Iphone will cost $0.01 per minute (ya a penny) on Weekdays AFTER 6pm
Calls on the Iphone will cost $.01 per minute (a penny again) on Weekends anytime
Text Messages are $0.10 (10 cents) per Text sent
Webpages viewed are $0.05 (a nickel) per Page - (or alternatively you can pay $7 per month on the Pay As You Go package and have unlimited mobile internet....that may come in handy)
I know people are going to look at this and call me stupid to have an Iphone on a Pay As You Go....but you know what....the hard truth is that it works for me. Like I said I rarely talk on my phone or text and I dont plan on using the mobile internet unless I am connected to my wireless network at home. As far as the GPS goes I can get the Tom Tom GPS for about $100 CAD and all the maps are already loaded on the phone (no need for internet).

So if I go this route, lets look at the 3 year cost - $400 + ($20 x 36 months) = $720. This is ONE THIRD the cost of the way Rogers would "like you to do things".

Right now I am paying $17 a month on my current cell phone, so essentially the only difference in cost to me is the initial Iphone purchase. My monthly cost will hardly change (may like $5 per month more)

I have checked this out and believe it or not their are other people that are cheap like me that use Iphones on Pay As You Go. Apparently everything functions just like normal (gps included) and it is working great for them.

A person at my work has an Iphone and I am interested to know if they spot any wholes in my plan?

**The only thing I need to research further is how apps are installed? Can you download them onto your computer and THEN install them to the Iphone? Because if I decide to buy the Tom Tom GPS App and have to download that 2 or 3 GB direct to the Iphone that could be a costly "Pay As You Go" data usuage. I would assume you could download on your PC (Windows PC that is) and install it on the Iphone somehow??**

Well there it is.....That is the big plan!!!
I will wait for some feedback on this first....then I might be onto step one - getting an UNLOCKED Iphone (which appears to be pretty easy to do!)

Good news Playstation 3 owners, Bethesda today released an update for your version of Fallout 3 that optimizes the game and clears the way for trophy support for the game's upcoming downloadable content.

The first DLC to hit the PS3 version of Fallout 3 will be Broken Steel, available Sept. 24. That will be followed by Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt on Oct. 1, and Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta on Oct. 8.

Bethesda also announced that the Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC will be available at stores on October 13.

The Game of the Year edition includes the game as well as all five downloadable content packs.

What the He77 is wrong with Brady?

Wow, it has been so long since I blogged!!! Sorry to my legions of faithful followers LOL!!!

So my standard Sunday consists of watching at least ONE NFL game and I usually get the Patriots (my favorite team) game every Sunday.

So anyone who follows the NFL knows that Tom Brady is back. After watching Brady play last Monday and this Sunday he may be back....but he freekin sux!! What the he77....What happened from the superstar Brady from 2007???

The last 2 weeks Brady has missed open receivers and just generally made bad decisions and played poorly.

And what is the New England offensive coordinator doing? They have Randy Moss, one of the best wide outs in the game, and last Sunday they did NOT throw ONE deep ball to Moss. What is up with that? Take some damn chances and let Moss try to make a big play....that is why you signed him....and that is what makes him a top notch wide receiver?

I just cant understand why New England is being SO CONSERVATIVE with their Offense? Do they not trust Brady any more? Or do they know he Sux?

What the HE77 is up in New England? What ever it is I DON'T LIKE IT!!!!!

PS - New England LOST that game I am complaining about....and they LOST to the JETS....ARE YOU KIDDING? The Jets BLOW!!! How did that happen?

If New England doesnt start opening up the offencive playbook, I am going to boycott watching them and start watching my second favorite team (the Bengals) with Chad Ochocinco (he was born Chad Johnson, but he changed his last name to be "Ochocinco" which means "85" which is his jersey number)....And he wears a "grille"....how cool is that :-)

CFL brings in more TROUBLED talent

I think the CFL is HILARIOUS....If you are a talented NFL player who has broken the law the CFL wants you!!!!!

Anyone remember the Toronto Argos Ricky Williams experience? The NFL didnt want Williams cause this guy is a big druggie...but the CFL was drooling over him...Hey this guy smokes 6 bags of weed a day and the NFL doesnt want him...But he would be the best player in the CFL cause all our players suck...so we should sign him....

Now its the same thing again with Pacman Jones going to the Blue Bombers. Pacman (love the name btw) was suspended for the 2007 season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, and last year after being traded from Tennessee to Dallas he was suspended for four games following an altercation with a team-employed bodyguard.

Whats interesting is the NFLs take on Jones:
Several NFL general managers said in the last week that Jones has the skill set to be a productive player, but one added: "He's already got 2 1/2 strikes against him, so he's just not worth the time."

Does the CFL think that way of Jones- he77 no!!!

They are like, rock on....Another NFL reject for us....SWEET....And this guys been to COURT and to JAIL already....What a CATCH :-)

PS - Winnipeg says that Jones has had "no run-ins with the law since 2007" Wow, way to go Pacman...That is 2 years already!!! Congrats on obeying the law for 2 whole, full, long, hard years!!!!

Miffed at my local Mercedes Benz SERVICE department

You know, I gotta say I am a little bit miffed at my local Mercedes Benz dealer....

I had to go their a few weeks ago to order a touch up paint pen for my and my wifes Benz.....I was off work that day so I was dressed casually....Their were 4 salesman in their swanky suits and not one of them made eye contact with me or tried to help me......Yes I am younger and yes I am in shorts and a tee shirt, but I am a customer and I expected to be treated like one.

I am not saying they purposely avoided me based on how I look (although I think that is EXACTLY what happened)....Maybe they treat all their customers that way. But I am sure if I was a 50 year old doctor who came strolling in dressed in a suit I have a feeling I would have been treated a little bit differently.

Anyway I had to go find someone to talk to me, once I did they directed me over to the Service Dept to take my order for my paint pen. I gave them my VIN# and they ordered the paint pen from the factory for me. They told me that it would be in in approx 1 week but THEY WILL PHONE ME WHEN IT ARRIVES.

It is now 3.5 weeks later, and guess what....no call

I dont know if they have the paint pen or not, because I have been busy and I havn't phoned THEM.
But that doesnt change the fact of their TERRIBLE customer service.....If you tell me you are going to phone me, then that is what I expect.

The Benz that we own was $60,000 new....We paid a FRACTION of that used, but THEY do NOT know that.

If I spend $60,000 on something, I dont think it is unreasonable to be:
1) Treated with respect from the salesman - eg them asking "Could I help you" would be a good start, INSTEAD OF AVOIDING the young guy who looks like a bum in his shorts and t-shirt and sandles
2) If you tell me you are going to phone me.....Please phone me

It blows my mind that is how you get treated from one of the most respected and expensive automobile dealers in the world.

I guess maybe ALL auto service dealers SUCK regardless of how much you spend on the vehicle...

I should send my Mom and Dad in and see if they get treated better then me :-)

Good Lookin' Kia (???)

Generally speaking I hate Kia. My Wife and I owned a 2001 Kia Rio and it was the biggest piece of crapolla I have ever drivin. But Kia has come along way in the last 7 years and they are producing some good looking cars.

This is the Kia Forte Koup (how cool is that to spell Coupe with a "K"!!!)

It almost reminds me of an Infinity G35.....EXCEPT this is a Krappy Kia (That's Crappy with a "K") and it is not a Swank Infinity!!!

Good for you Kia for trying to fancy up your cars, they still suck, but at least they look better!!!

My favorite NFL Players

With the 2009-2010 NFL season coming up shortly I am getting very excited, and I have decided to write about my Top 3 Favorite NFL Players.
I don't think any of my followers will be too surprised by my #1 pick....LOL

#1 - Randy Moss (New England Patriots)
Randy has been my favorite player in the NFL since he broke into the league. He is one of the most entertaining players to watch and is flashy and flamboyant. One of my favorite things about Moss is you never know when he is going to go deep and catch a 40 yard bomb from Brady and take it to the house!! In my opinion, their is no player in the NFL that is more of a deep threat then Randy Moss. He is a game changer, and that is what I love about him!!!!! Go Patriots!!! Hopefully Moss will get his first Super Bowl title this year!!!

#2 - Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals)
I have been watching Fitzgerald closely since he broke into the league as well. I think of Fitzgerald as a younger Randy Moss. Except Fitzgerald is a CLASS ACT (unlike Moss's bad boy reputation). Fitzgerald is a heck of a player and he is a COMPLETE player. He will take short passes over the middle, or you can toss him the deep ball in double coverage and he is still able to come down with it. He has excellent body control and knows how to shield defenders with his body. It would be nice to see Arizona get a good young quarterback, because I am not sure how much longer Warner can throw the deep ball to Fitzgerald....Isn't Warner like 60 years old now??? At least he doesn't retire year after year and then come back - hey Brett??? (that's another story!)

#3 - Ladainian Tomlinson (San Diego Chargers)
L.T is simply awesome. He is a great running back and I consider him the best running back in the NFL. He hits the holes with speed, he can go up the middle, or he can bust a run outside. He is a great combination of power and speed. He is also a HUGE threat to catch a ball out of the backfield. At any minute in a game he can take the ball to the house. He is SO FUN to watch!!! I love his touchdown celebrations, and the tinted visor makes him look even cooler :-)

He retired from the NFL when he was a legend with the Green Bay packers. He swore he was done. Then he signed with the New York Jets and came out of retirement. He had played his whole career with the Pack, then he un-retires and signs with the Jets. That was bad enough. But he wasn't done yet. He played all of last year with the Jets...he then retires AGAIN (that is retirement #2)....again he swears this is it, I will NOT be coming back to the NFL.....

Now, what do you know, this morning Brett the OLD MAN WASHED UP MORON has signed a 2 year deal with the Vikings? Brett - what the he77 is wrong with you? Do you realize you have went from a LEGEND to a LAUGHING STOCK??? You are like 90 years old and need a walker....its time to RETIRE and MEAN IT.....

Oblivion - FIRST or SECOND best game EVER!!

Well I gotta say - I am now completely hooked on Oblivion. I owned it about 4 years ago when it originally came out on the Xbox 360. I tried to get into it, but I guess I just didnt have the patience to try understand everything. But 4 years later my patience must be a lot better because I am loving games like this!!!

Oblivion is very very much like Fallout 3. The only difference is Oblivion reminds me of the olden times because you use swords and can ride around on horses, etc. Oblivion is such a nice change as far as the graphics go too. Fallout 3s setting takes place after a nuclear blast so the world is all gray and washed out with no living things (eg plants, etc). Oblivion is the exact opposite of that, with Deer running around in the forest grazing, with plants and rivers everywhere....The graphics are actually amazing considering the game is 4 years old.

I cant say enough about the depth of game play in Oblivion...It actually makes Fallout 3 look small and simple in comparison....and that is a HUGE achievement.

If you have never played Oblivion, I recommend you pick it up. You can buy it new for $29.99, but you can find it used for a lot cheaper.

PS - I got the GOTY (Game of the Year Edition) which includes the Shivering Isles expansion pack for I believe $19.99 (??)

That is one He77 of a game for $20!!!!
I am about 8 hours in and I am about 1% done the game!!!

Xbox 360 Update

So Microsoft put out an update to the Xbox 360 dashboard and marketplace on Aug 11th. This update added some new features and abilities, for a full list go here

The funniest thing I found about the update is that now in the Xbox Marketplace you can dress up your Avator (Character) in BRAND NAME clothing. I thought that was a very very cool thing, until I realized that it costs $2 for a shirt. I am not talking about $2 fake virtual dollars here, I am talking about $2 of REAL MONEY. Macaroni and Soy Sauce - mmmmm!!!!

My wife was giving me a hard time yesterday for eating macaroni and soy sauce. She tells me I am crazy and no one in the world does that. I found that very hard to believe cause it is so damn tasty.....So just to prove her wrong (cause that's the kinda guy I am....tending to always want to be right) I did a google search.

And I did find a recipe....I think she should have to eat it now...LOL

Its called "Fried Macaroni in a Wok" (fancy name, right?)

INGREDIENTS

• 2-3 servings Macaroni
  

• 4 cloves garlic, minced

• 3 Tb of Soy sauce

• Egg

• Wok

• Salt and pepper to taste

Well, I never thought the day would come that I would post about scrapbooking, but here it is!!!!
Deanne has been trying to figure out between these "die cutting machines" which one she wanted to get. After long and hard debate she has figured out to get the Cricut.

The reason I kinda got into it is because these things are pretty darn cool (as far as cool and scrapbooking goes anyway). They are like little mini computers that cut shapes based on cartridges you put in the machine. You can basically just program this little gadget to cut out a bunch of words/lettters/symbols and walk away and let it do its thing!!! Its pretty nifty stuff actually.

You can even get software for the cricket called SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) that you install on your desktop/laptop, and then you connect your Cricket to your computer/laptop and you can cut any TTF (True Type Fonts) that are installed on your computer.

I gotta say that is a pretty cool little gadget!!!

Stupid Movie!!!!

So my wife and I watched Knowing the other night. I watched the trailer before hand and thought that it looked cool and good!!!! Nicolas Cage is pretty good, and its about numbers...and it looks kinda like a mystery...sounds good - lets rent it!

Dereks review - If I wanted to see aliens and spaceships I would have rented f'in Star Trek!!!!

It could have been a cool kinda mystery movie, but somehow they made it "supposed to be scary/sc-fi"??? What the he77 is that about!!!!

If you like sci-fi (which I DON'T) then sure, it is worth renting.....If you hate sci-fi movies (yip thats me) then dont waste your time with Knowing.....cause it BLOWS!!!!

Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition

Well, after Bethesda Studios absolutley blew my mind with Fallout 3, I decided I should try another one of their very well known games.

I just purchased Oblivion - GOTY Edition. The GOTY Edition contains the Shivering Isles expansion pack and also the Knights of the Nine expansion pack.

Obilivion - GOTY Edition has a total of OVER 250 HOURS worth of gameplay!!!!!!!!! THAT IS INSANE!!!!!

I actually picked it up used for $19.99 so that is one sweet deal for that much gameplay!!!

So, how do I like it you ask?

I was never really a big fan of this action/adventure type of gameplay. But ever since playing Fallout 3 I think that has changed. I was only able to play Obivion for about 2 hours this weekend, but I am already getting into it!!!!

Once I am a solid 10 or 15 hours into Oblivion I will give a more detailed review :-)

I stumbled upon this picture the other day and I think it is HILARIOUS!!!

My wife and I have 2 cats....and their is always other cats in our yard that pee in our bushes....So I am going to train our cats to be snipers just like this little guy!!! They can pick off those other pesky cats that our neighbors let run around outside and pee on whatever lawns and bushes they like!!!!

So I heard that Ford was bringing back the Festiva, so I decided to check it out I cant believe I am going to say this....But the Ford Festiva is one hot little mama!!!!!

It looks like Ford has tried to make it appealing to a younger crowd because it definately looks stylish and pimpin'. It is one hot hatch!!

I personally think that a GT500 is a hell of a performance deal. For $45,437 (that is in Canadian funds) you get one sweet ass sports car!!!!! I would say for your Horsepower per dollar spent has to be near the top deals in the car industry. The Corvette might be up their too....But I personally find the Mustang way hotter!!!!

Fallout 3 - NO downloadable content for PS3 yet, WTF?

So, now that I have beat Fallout 3 I thought, hey, I should check out all this DLC (downloadable content) for it. Turns out that Fallout 3 publisher Bethesda Game Studios HAS put out TONS of downloadable add on content. But it is NOT for PS3.

The expansion packs available for the Xbox360 and for "Games for Windows" are:
1) Operation: Anchorage
2) The Pitt
3) Broken Steel
4) Point Lookout

I was so excited to get these addons which I just naturally assumed were on the PS3.

So I did some research on this, and again it appears that Microsoft is rich and smart. Looks like they paid to have THEIR DLC's out way before Sony will have theirs released. (Originally the DLC was a Xbox 360 and Games for Windows exclusive)

But it appears now that the PS3 will be getting Fallout 3 DLC....Unfortunately I want it NOW and guess what - I cant get it.

PS3 OFFICIALLY today released this on the PS3 Blog that Fallout 3 DLC is behind schedule but it will be released in SEPT 2009......I have to wait till FREEKIN SEPTEMBER 2009???? If I would have faithfully given my money to Bill this would have NEVER happended to me. I know that it is UNCOOL to like M$, and (I know my boss is going to hate this) but when it comes to gaming Sony just cant match M$.....I wish I could support Sony more but M$ ususally has the upper hand.

OK it is OFFICIAL - Fallout 3 is the most addictive video game ever made. Yes it is better then Grand Theft Auto 4 and yes it is better then Halo.

It is KICK ASS.

I just completed the game about a week ago and even my wife is into it and has her own game going!!!

PS - Video game playing chix are HOT :-)

Have a great weekend everyone...And if you are super bored and want about 20 hours of kick ass entertainment...go pick up FO3, you wont be disappointed.

Fallout 3 BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED

Just an FYI - I have been playing Fallout 3 on the weekends and in my spare time and I have to say this is the BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED ON ANY CONSOLE!!!!!!!!

Honestly, this even puts GTA4 to shame which is a HUGE compliment to Fallout 3 and to Berthuda Studios (Developer). This game is a truely amazing in depth shooter/role playing game that is so wide open and so immersing.

It is so good that even my wife has her own game going under her own profile and she LOVES it too.....That shows you how good of a game it is because it is full of shooting and blood and gore which generally doesnt interest Deanne (not nearly as much as me anyway!) but even she is HOOKED.

Congrats to Berthuda Studios for putting out a piece of software that is ACTUALLY WORTH the price of the game. Most games these days I can not justify that I paid $60 for it and at the end of the game I am like "really, thats it?" but Fallout 3 is SIMPLY AMAZING!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Deannes surgery went very well and we are at home. Deanne is taking it easy and doing well. Now on Monday our dog goes in for his dental work (more teeth pulled) so that puts 2 members of the family out of commission. Looks like Derek is officially in charge now - LOL :-)

I hope Deanne doesnt get tired of Kraft Dinner and Canned Soups.....Anyone that knows me knows I cant eat anything...Which means my cooking experience isnt so good. Good thing Deanne is a fan of my "rice cassoroles" mmmmm sounds good doesnt it :-)

Day 37 and still going strong!! :-)

Well, I am finally blogging again....I meant to for the last few days but I have been sick and feeling like garbage....
I just wanted to share that I am on day 37 and still cigerette free. Yes I have had about 4 cigars with one of my buddies who, he and I enjoy the occasional one together.
But the great news is that I am still cig free.
And the even better news is that I am doing it ALL BY MYSELF...I am NOT taking any Zyban, I am NOT on Nicoderm patches and I am NOT chewing Nicorrette.
Anyone that knows me knows that is a huge accomplishment for me to get to this step.
It is so silly that this is this hard for me, but I guess that is because it is an addiction, right?
Anyway just thought I would share the great news.
And I am starting to feel better so I might even venture off the bed/couch today....Thats another treat :-)

18 days of being cigerette free!!!!

Well this is DAY 18 of being cigerette free :-)

Still got the night sweats (zyban), the shakes (zyban), and slight dizzyness (zyban)....but the good news is that with the crazy zyban and my will power I am still cigerette free!!!!



I will still be having one of these once in a while....but that is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT then being addicted and controlled by cigerettes....trust me on that one!!!! Some non smokers may not understand that (i probably wouldnt if I didnt smoke), but any smoker will know what I mean. A cigar a month is different then 2 cartons of cigs :-)

One of the best deals of my adult life???

Well I have been scouting around for quite some time for a deal, and let me tell ya I finally found an AWESOME one!!!

My wife and I just bought a second vehicle....oh and by the way, its a BENZ :-)

We picked up an ABSOLUTE MINT 1999 Mercedes Benz ML430

It is such a silky smooth ride and powerful V8 and a great 4 wheel drive vehicle. It is absolutley loaded up too (heated leather seats, etc etc etc)

My wife and I are in love with it....the funny and amazing part is that it was MUCH MUCH MUCH less then what we paid for a Honda Civic... And brand new in 1999 it was over $60,000!!!

That is CRAZYNESS!!!!

I was browsing around on the Internet looking at vehicles today, just like I do most evenings :-)

Anyway I think this might be the hottest, best looking interior I have ever seen...







What do you think? I love that color on those leather heated seats!!!! And believe it or not it is a FORD ... Ya thats right ... its a 2003 F150 King Ranch Supercrew...Can you belive that beautiful interior was designed 6 years ago...

Day 7 of being SMOKE FREE!!!! :-)

Well I am officially on DAY 7 of NOT smoking....So far I am doing pretty dam awesome I would say....Havnt had one puff of a cig since May 1 (my birthday)

My stragety (this time) is using Zyban and very occasionally chewing Nicorette. I think I have only had 2 pieces of Nicorette in 7 days. That Zyban seems to really help, but it is kinda nutso....gives you night sweats and makes you dream...That is what it does to me anyway and that is what the box says for side effects so I guess they know what they are talking about.

Nicorette is great when you really feel like a "dart", pop in a piece of that stuff and it really helps. I like the cinimon flavor :-)
